Chairman’s View 1
Dear Parishioners,
I am delighted and honoured to have been elected Chairman of Iron Acton Parish Council, together with Denise Smith who was elected as Deputy Chairman. We together with the other Parish Council members, undertake to serve our community to ensure that local issues are dealt with swiftly and appropriately and that local people’s views are taken into consideration when dealing with the wider issues which affect our local area.
We have an excellent team on the Parish Council and we are supported by a hard working and dedicated Clerk Donna Ford. We together have a wealth of experience of our local area and of sitting on the Parish Council, which ensures that we are well-placed to properly represent the interests of our Parishioners.
I am very grateful to our previous Chairman, Bob Lomas and Deputy Chairman, Lynn Noble for their dedication and hard work over the years. I have learnt a lot from them over the past couple of years that I have been a member of Iron Acton Parish Council and I look forward to carrying on their good work.
We have throughout the Pandemic been undertaking the work of the Parish Council with the use of modern technology in the form of remote “Zoom” meetings. We are very much looking forward to resuming the traditional face-to-face meetings. On current Government guidance, we expect our next meeting on Monday 21st June to be held in Iron Acton Parish Hall from 7.30pm. We welcome public participation at the meeting for the first 20 minutes and will look forward to seeing anyone who has any issues which they wish to raise, subject of course to any Government restrictions on numbers meeting and social distancing which are in place at the time. You are of course welcome to put forward any issues which you have by email to our Clerk.
Councillor Catherine (Chairman)
