Children’s Play Area

This is a small enclosed park that has various items of play equipment suitable for children up to the age of 12.  There are wooden picnic benches & dogs are not permitted in this area. It’s a great place for children & their carers to meet & enjoy the fresh air. 

Annual safety inspections are carried out each year by an independent company. Any potential issues can then be highlighted & the maintenance work carried out. The aim is to keep the park as safe as possible for families to use & enjoy.

The large grass area has a single football post and this can be great for impromptu ball games. In addition many people walk dogs or come to sit & enjoy the fresh air here. Occasionally communal events are held in this space such as Bonfire Night or The Proms Musical event.

Gym Equipment

The gym equipment is available for older children & adults to use for exercise in the fish air. There are a variety of pieces that all have a unique use. These are also inspected annually to ensure that they function correctly & spot checks are carried out during the year. 

The MUGA

The MUGA is the multi use games area that has a choice of 5 sports that can be played for free. The booking system is available on this website. There are now a few community groups that meet to play & this can be a great way to combine exercise & increase your social circle.

Conservation In Action

The Meadows are an important part of the local ecological system. The council are endeavouring to ensure the correct measures are taken to protect the area & the wildlife within.
