Digital Support in Downend
South Gloucestershire Council have launched a scheme to help local residents improve their computer skills. You can now book an appointment with a Digital Champion.
Digital Champions are staff who can identify your needs & help you to pick the most suitable type of training. These appointments are now available at Downend Library every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm.
If you or someone you know could benefit from these sessions. First either ring or visit a library to speak to a member of staff to find out how to get support or enrol for free training sessions.

Bradley Stoke Library: Mondays and Tuesdays 11am to 12.30pm
Cadbury Heath Library: Saturdays 9.30am to 11.30am
Downend Library: Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm
Emersons Green Library: Fridays 1pm to 3pm
Hanham Library: Tuesdays 10am to midday and Thursdays 2pm to 4pm
Hawkesbury Upton Village Hall: alternate Fridays 2.30pm to 4pm*
Thornbury Library: Thursdays 10am to 1pm
Yate Library: Saturdays and Tuesdays 10am to midday
*Sessions at Hawkesbury Upton Village Hall are at the same time as the community library. Upcoming dates: 8 and 22 May.
A Digital Champion can help you improve your skills with the following tasks:
- using email
- staying safe online
- using online searches
- completing online forms
- creating documents
There are a range of options available. From one to one sessions to on line courses or in person at SGC.
