Nibley Lane – Prohibition of Motor Vehicles

The video below was made when local residents raised safety concerns about the number of vehicles using Nibley Lane. South Gloucestershire Council were made aware of the concerns by local residents & the Parish Council.

Raising Safety Concerns

This short video highlights some of the issues that had been occurring in Nibley Lane before the road was closed to vehicles.

A temporary closure of Nibley Lane was then introduced & is currently still in operation. However this is now to be reviewed.

South Gloucestershire Council have set up an online consultation. Its purpose is to gauge local view on whether Nibley Lane should remain closed to motorised vehicles.

The consultation is open from 26 Jan 2026 at 00:00 to 15 Feb 2026 at 23:59
