Autumn Programe

As winter approaches a rise in hospital admissions due to seasonal infections begins. Conditions such as Flu and Covid-19 spread more easily in winter and can cause serious harm. Getting vaccinated can keep you protected and better able to defend yourself.  If you do catch one of these viruses the symptoms are likely to be milder & recover more quickly. This reduces the likely hood of the need for a hospital admission.

Who should have the flu and COVID-19 vaccines?

Covid-19 boosters will be offered this autumn to :

• Adults aged 65 and over
• Care home residents and staff
• Those aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group
•  Frontline NHS and social care workers.
• Vaccination continues to be the best defence against severe illness, hospitalisations and deaths arising from Covid-19.
