Keep warm this winter – support available

It is important for your health to keep warm at home, especially if you have underlying health conditions, very young children, or elderly people in your household. We are here to help if you need it. Our range of support includes:

• Warm packs: From this week warm packs will be available from our One Stop Shops and South Gloucestershire libraries. These include warm clothing, as well as a flask, torch, an LED lightbulb and tea bags. The packs will be allocated on a case-by-case basis and priority will be given to vulnerable residents.
• Radiator panel packs: The panels go behind radiators and work by reducing energy loss through walls and by keeping more warmth in. We have a limited number of radiator packs and these will be prioritised for older people in need, people on disability benefits and people who have certain health conditions. To apply for a radiator pack, you can speak to our customer services team at our One Stop Shops either in person or by calling 01454 868009.
• Community welcome spaces: We are supporting a network of friendly community welcome spaces where you can go and keep warm. These are free to use, with some spaces providing hot drinks and activities.
